Data visualization was what first drew me to the digital arts and humanities.
In STAT220 – Introduction to Data Science we had multiple projects. All were done in R and all were partner projects. The first project we used to look at COVID-19 vaccination rates and infection trends in North America.
Our second project was similar to our first, but on a much larger scale. This project involved creating an interactive shiny site as opposed to simply creating an R Markdown file. Our final project involved building a shiny app in R. We chose to take this opportunity to wrangle a big data set involving electricity generation and pollution.
